# DigiTamer Distribution Terms and Disclaimer

These terms apply to public prebuilt DigiTamer firmware packages and related installer materials.

## Independent fan project

DigiTamer is an independent, unofficial, non-commercial fan project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, approved by, or endorsed by Bandai Co., Ltd., Toei Animation Co., Ltd., Akiyoshi Hongo, or other Digimon rights holders.

## Ownership

DigiTamer's independently authored implementation, branding elements created specifically for DigiTamer, documentation, installer logic, and original project materials remain the property of their respective DigiTamer copyright holders unless otherwise stated.

Digimon, Digital Monster, Vital Bracelet, related characters, names, artwork, sprites, trademarks, logos, and associated media remain the property of their respective rights holders.

Nothing distributed by DigiTamer grants ownership of or a license to third-party Digimon intellectual property beyond whatever rights may exist independently under applicable law.

## Firmware use

Official prebuilt DigiTamer firmware is provided for personal, non-commercial use on compatible hardware.

Unless separately authorized in writing, you may not sell DigiTamer firmware, sell access to DigiTamer firmware, charge for DigiTamer software features, represent DigiTamer as your product, or commercially distribute DigiTamer-branded/preloaded devices.

Possession of a firmware binary does not grant access to DigiTamer's private source code.

## Donations

Donations or Buy Me a Coffee contributions are voluntary support for independent development activities.

A donation does not purchase Digimon content, third-party intellectual-property rights, source-code access, ownership, a commercial license, warranty coverage, guaranteed support, or access to otherwise restricted features.

## No affiliation or endorsement

Do not represent DigiTamer as an official Digimon product or imply sponsorship, approval, or endorsement by Digimon rights holders.

## Firmware modification and redistribution

Do not redistribute modified binaries using DigiTamer branding in a way that implies they are official DigiTamer releases.

Third parties are responsible for ensuring that any redistribution, reverse engineering, interoperability work, or other use complies with applicable law and third-party rights.

## No warranty

DigiTamer firmware, installers, documentation, and related materials are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

There is no guarantee of uninterrupted operation, compatibility, preservation of saved data, continued availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or absence of defects.

## Assumption of risk

Flashing embedded firmware can cause data loss, failed boot, unexpected hardware behavior, or the need for recovery procedures. You assume the risks associated with installing and using DigiTamer.

## Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DigiTamer's authors and contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or similar damages arising from installation or use of the firmware.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

## Takedown and rights-holder requests

If a legitimate rights holder identifies material that should not be distributed, the project may remove or replace that material without notice.

These terms are intended to describe the DigiTamer distribution model and are not legal advice.
